The design of Adda channels the spirited ethos of jugaad—India’s culture of resourceful creativity—through an inventive use of reclaimed materials, layered textures, and street market aesthetics. Guests enter through illuminated arches wrapped in vintage Indian matchbook graphics, a threshold into a richly immersive space. A zinc-topped bar features tin pail pendant lights and rusted COR-TEN steel columns, while arched cane screens, rattan pendants, and newspaper-plastered walls evoke the informality of Indian street life. The open kitchen and vaulted oak-clad dining alcoves balance raw materiality with warmth and intimacy. At the rear, a private dining room offers a romantic retreat, defined by stenciled floors, walnut latticework, and golden lighting that glows against a moody ceiling.
