Rowdy Rooster

EAST VILLAGE & PENN STATION, NEW YORK, NY | SEATS 14

Rowdy Rooster was designed to feel like a spontaneous, street-side chicken shack—something that could’ve popped up overnight. The goal was to create a space that felt raw, playful, and full of personality, using vibrant colors, slatted wood walls, and a mix of found materials. Within those slatted walls are several sculptural roosters, each built from repurposed objects, adding a handmade, artful energy to the space. The design draws from the lively, improvised spirit of India’s street food scene—where creativity thrives in tight spaces and bold visuals draw you in. It’s ramshackle by design, inviting, and impossible to ignore.
